A kot je zaupal Krasinski, se pri ustvarjanju nadaljevanja ni držal recepta grozljivk in srhljivk, v katerih se obicajno nadaljuje zgodba glavnega junaka ali zlobneža, temvec se je osredotocil na novince in svet, v katerem živijo. Ali je morda še kdo preživel apokalipso in se mora skrivati pred pošastmi z izjemnim sluhom kakor družina iz prvega dela, se je vprašal režiser in namignil, da bosta imela Murphy in Hounsou vecjo vlogo, kot jima morda kdo pripisuje. Igralska zasedba je večinoma enaka kot v prvem delu - Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds in Noahu Jupeju se pridružita igralca Cillian Murphy in Djimon Hounsou. O ZGODBI: Po smrtonosnih dogodkih doma se mora družina Abbott (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) zdaj spopasti s grozotami zunanjega sveta, potem ko v tišini nadaljujejo svoj boj za preživetje. Prisiljeni so se podati v neznano, hitro pa spoznajo, da bitja, ki lovijo po zvoku, niso edina grožnja, ki jim preti. IZ PRVEGA DELA: Štiričlanska družina živi na samotni kmetiji v skoraj popolni tišini, saj v njihovi okolici prežijo skrivnostne pošasti, ki jih pritegne kakršen koli zvok, da lovijo in napadejo svoj plen. Člani družine so se navadili na tišino, vsa opravila opravljajo brez šuma, dokler se nekega dne njihovemu domu ne približajo pošasti in ogrozijo njihova življenja.

Excited. So excited for the second one! 😊. Oh man, NEVER apologise for not being cynical enough. There's more cynics than we know what to do with; we need unashamed positivity. Especially about this movie. I honestly don't think I've related to anything more than the people saying they would act perfectly rationally post-apocalypse so why can't the characters mini-rant. And seriously, were people really complaining about the (not) getting sucked into grain? Did they also wonder why Rose didn't sink when she got on top of the door in Titanic... Fun fact: This scene was actually filmed at Schrute Farms, monumental for the northern most battle in the civil war.
